Second time we've hired and worked with Joao - always very responsive and great to work with - the designs speak for themselves.
- Milutin Aleksic
Milutin was outstanding to work with. He nailed the initial design submission, capturing the nuances of the brief very well. His design was visually pleasing, flowed well and was clean, just as I was looking for. When I provided substantial feedback he was quick to respond to all of it and offered explanations with his new submissions. Overall great UX designer who thinks critically for improvements, and very easy to work. Very happy with his work.
How john0f started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
StoryJumper is the easiest way to create and publish story books and get positive feedback from our global community of students, parents, and grandparents. 70% of our users are female.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
The StoryJumper brand is joyful, playful, creative, and easy to use.
The design should reflect these emotions and appeal to women.
Our current design is too "boxy and rectangular". We want to move towards a design that's more modern and creative.
1) The centerpiece of this page is the book reader, which should look beautiful and feel like an actual book (3 dimensional) that you want to buy. When a person clicks through the book reader, it should feel like they are reading a real, gorgeous book. Please show how the book will look when it is closed (front cover and back cover) and open. Also, when the author narrates their book, the reader can also hear the narration.
2) The second section is for the community to provide positive feedback to the author. Readers can Like, Comment, Share, Buy, and Translate the book. We show the public feedback to encourage readers to do the same and for authors to feel joyful about the public praise.
3) The third section is recommendations of other StoryJumper books to read and prompts for the reader to make their own book.
What to avoid
Don't spend any time designing the actual cover of the Megasaurus book. We're looking for how any StoryJumper book should look on this book reader page.
We will work with the winning designer after the contest for additional pages for this website (1 to 1 projects).
