Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
DID is developing TOWER , an interactive online community for women startup founders, and is looking for a designer to create a mobile-first website design.
TOWER is where community members will access curated and original content, on-demand training, mentor webinars, community chats, and more. In addition, DID will use TOWER to manage membership payments and a number of APIs such as mailchimp, Calendly, Slack, etc.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Users will be logging into TOWER for resources and learning, therefore the style needs to be easy to navigate. It is also part of the BIG incubator at digitalundivided and should reflect spacious and thoughtfully colorful theme you can find on the website and in the office space itself.
The site should encourage interaction. The body text of the site should be black and easy to read navigate. We use a number of APIs and they should be seamlessly integrated into the design.
We like illustrations versus photography and that aren't race specific

What to avoid
We don't want photos of black/latinx women (comes off as patronizing). We want everything to be as text and simple as possible to reduce the load on the site. Would rather not use drop down menus. Navigation should be straight forward
We are integrating a lot of APIs to fulfill different functionality on our site. Calendars will be using Calendly, Payment will be WooCommerce or Stripe
