Create the website design for a new web service: Magnocall

Magnocall

Magnocall is a cloud based service. It allows people to go to the Magnocall website and host video calls over the Web from within the Web browser with other Magnocall users. Using Magnocall for video calls is extremely easy. It is an extremely innovative, high-quality, trustworthy and modern web service – the website must reflect this.

The website will represent the Magnocall service. It should be seen as user-friendly, innovative and professional.

Target Audience:
The service is targeted towards both businesses and private people. People will use Magnocall to make business video calls with clients and colleagues over the Web. Other people will use it to call and see their friends/family on the other side of town, the country or the world. Magnocall has a global audience predominantly comprised of non-technical people.

Focus on simplicity and usability. It should be modern and attractive to the eye. The website should be very clean and predominantly white. The website should also utilize the logo colors for certain website elements. We have attached the logo to the design brief – please use the logo as is. Do NOT modify it. Finally, if you target those two main goals (above) in conjunction with a clean design, you are on the right track!

We would you to design two pages:
1) A homepage – First and foremost there is one main goal that the homepage must accomplish: get people to sign up for a free Magnocall account. The sign up form (with prominent call-to-action button) will be on the homepage. But there should be a clear “sign up” call-to-action button on the 2nd level detail pages.

2) A detail page – this will be used a 2nd level page in the website used for the “Features” page, for example.

We have attached two Word documents to this design brief containing further details and the content for the pages. Please read these documents carefully, especially the homepage document.

The website should be 980px wide or similar.

Lots of color. Clutter. Flash animations. Do not use fonts which we need to purchase separately.

Please do NOT copy the example websites. We do not want the same website just copied and the colors changed. These example websites are just provided to give you an idea of the style we are looking for. Use them to inspire you.

The contest winner will be required to provide high quality source files. The source files should be layered files. Please design using Photoshop.
