We are requesting two templates - homepage and an internal template.
The homepage has a short introduction to Dr Sher as well as providing a portal into the key sections of the website.
The internal template shows the 3 levels of navigation and a detailed article as the content.
The look we are going for can be described as professional and slightly conservative. As it is a surgeon’s website, the look and feel needs to portray a feeling of confidence and wellness.
As we do not have a logo or colour palette we will leave it to the designer’s discretion to come up with a colour combination. We would prefer to use darker text on a white background for all main copy on the site. For colours we are open to using shades of greys, blues. Please use softer, muted shades as seen in the reference websites below:
The design should also make good use of white space as was accomplished on the following designs. Clear delineation of the different content areas while still keeping the design open is key.
The call to action is the "Make an appointment" button which needs to stand out using the tertiary colour which will be used across for all page links as well as the “Make an appointment” button. The action colour should be more pronounced than the other colours used in the site template.
The site should be optimised for 1024 and have a width of 960px (pref using a 12 or 16 column grid layout).
All links have an underline as the default state and should change colour slightly for the hover state and remove the underline on hover. Please show an example of a hover state on some links in the submitted concept design.
We would like to use a serif font for the surgeon’s name “Dr Doron Sher” as well as the page headings (as can be seen from the wireframes). We would like to use a Verdana or Arial for the main copy on the site.
