Dabee_Gui got their new web page design by running a design contest:

We are an ecommerce platform for cross-border trade. Dabee helps online shoppers in Brazil, Spain and other countries to buy products from US retailers. Dabee displays product info in local language, local currency, inclusive of all import taxes and shipping to final destination. Dabee purchases items on behalf of these buyers and takes care of all international logistics until the item is delivered to their countries. Dabee also offers customer support in local language.
www.assistly.com – use of fonts and colors. Love their home page, header and footer www.99designs.com – clarity of the design and also use of standard behaviors (ex. standard colors for links) http://fashion.ebay.com/womens-shoes - left nav www.zappos.com –in general, site usability is really great http://globetrooper.com/ - everything… use of fonts, links standards, footer, etc. great design www.moonfruit.com - use of background, fonts, clarity http://codemyconcept.com/ - use of background http://www.sympoz.com/ - great home page, fonts, colors, structure
We have an existing web-site which we are operating in Brazil called Muzambo (www.muzambo.com.br). We recently decided to rebrand. We have a new name (Dabee) and we also have a new conceptual “identity” (logo, a conceptual home page, main colors). The goal of the contest is to come up with the new visual layout for our main pages: (Search Results page, Product Page and Cart) Designers should look into the Dabee “conceptual” Home Page file to understand the direction we’re going. This file as well as our high fidelity logo in psd format can be downloaded here: http://www.4shared.com/file/_L7bWqAb/dabee_final.html All our pages should have standard header and footer drawn from the design included in the file: dabee_final.psd. We would also like to include the gray background (light gray) that is provided in the dabee_final.pds file [Note: we are open to changes to Header and Footer too, but primary goal is to have the body of pages redesigned] The pages we need redesigned are: (1) Search Results Page: We need a new color scheme, fonts, etc to match Dabee. I would like contest participants to focus their efforts in this page, as it will be used as a basis for the rest of the design. I’m attaching a psd and png versions of the existing Search Results for your reference. SRP_99Designs.psd or SRP_99Designs.png This version is the latest one (includes changes that are not live-to-site yet), so please use this as a reference. Existing Search Results page (live) can be found at http://www.muzambo.com.br/?page_id=9&lang=pt-br&cid=1&cname=eletr%C3%B4nicos The search Results page has a few elements that need to be included: (1.1) Category bar: 4 Menu items, of which the first is a Category flyout that includes all 3 levels of categories for site; The category bar should also hold a “search box” which today is shown in header (note: the category bar is not present in the live-to-site version) (1.2) Left Nav: for filtering data, including Categories, a price filter, a filter by brand and by store (1.3) Main Search Panel – this is the area where Search Results are displayed. Here we show different sorting options, pagination, etc. While we are set with “list view”, we also welcome designers to propose changing the display of products as long as all information provided today is included (1.4) “On Demand” entry point (today blue area at the bottom) – on demand is a flow where users can simply give us a product URL and we will quote shipping and taxes for their final destination. We need an entry point on Search Results (1.5) Notes Section – in many pages of the site (ex. cart, payments, etc…) we need to include specific footnotes. This can be seen today at the very bottom of the page, above the footer. (2) Product Page We also need to redesign the existing product page to fit the new branding. Product page is the page where we provide information about the product as well as information about the merchant and in our case, pricing – detailing customs, taxes, etc related to the international purchase Please use the psd/png attached as a reference for the latest product page (this version is the latest as our existing product page that is live will be modified soon) PDP_99Designs.psd or PDP_99Designs.png These are the main elements of the page: (2.1) Product Summary Module: which includes a brief description of product, image brand/model, etc. (2.2) Buy Box: this box will contain price (please note that the existing design calls for Price and also Price in Installments) (2.3) Price Details Section: today, it is a layer that we use to show all details about pricing (ex. taxes, exchange rate, etc.) (2.4) Social Module: which includes FB comments (2.5) Detailed Product Description (Description and Specs) (2.6) Installments Box: shows users the payment options in installments (typical for Brazilian merchants) (2.7) Merchant Box: with basic information about the merchant (2.8) Recently Viewed Items: merchandizing placement showcasing your recently viewed items You can also view an example of our existing product page here: http://www.muzambo.com.br/products/superpad-10-2-quot-tablet-google-android-2-1-webcam-gps-hdmi-usb-wifi-2-micro-sd-card-slots/5550/ (3) Cart Standard Shopping cart. New layout needs to be applied to cart as well. We need a toggle that allows the user to elect to pay for duties upon product arrival. We also need the footnote section here explaining the main concepts in cart. I have included both png and psd versions of existing Cart Cart_99Designs.psd or Cart_99Designs.png
Dabee targets non-US consumers. We are positioning “Dabee” as the place to buy really cool products from retailers in the US. We will always be showcasing latest product releases. The design needs to reflect the “cool” aspect of dabee.
