I would like the theme to be modern, intuitive and easy to use. Current website access details provided in the "Other" section. This is meant to replace Yelp, so consider the shortcomings of Yelp and figure out what would have users pick this site over Yelp.

The screenshots show how the current website looks like, and I am really looking for a "facelift." See what I mentioned regarding "Visual Style". The interactions should be fairly obvious. 1. Search Results page - see attached screenshot - here users should have the option of searching for specific types of restaurants. 2. Place detail page - see attached screenshot - users here can see the details for a particular restaurant, and can also add reviews, set ratings. 3. Account-page - see attached screenshot. Design should allow for interactive to view and edit account (see edit button)

Just make it distinct from Yelp.
