The website should convey professionalism, trust, and stability without being too stuffy or old school. It should reflect the values of the firm and its clients including excellence and honesty for the main street investor while maintaining an easy to read, fresh design with good use of white space. Modern. Fresh.
Our clients earned their wealth by being shrewed, salt-of-the-earth business people from middle America - not slick Wall Street types or west coast venture capitalists - so the imagery used should not include beach scenes or city skylines.
The firm, and many of it's clients, find the tradition of family generations important which you will notice from reading the firm's "history" found in the attached brochure. They are mostly from the states of Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Arkansas so using imagery from that part of the world would be ideal (samples attached).
We would like to follow the color scheme found in the logo and attached brochure. We are open to different combinations of these colors but encourage you to get creative and include at least one semi-flat design style. Ultimately the design should blend seamlessly with the logo.
We like the idea of a central, high quality graphic - possibly a slider - that can link to different content.
Different fonts types and sizes are welcomed but should be standard to avoid challenges when converting this design to Wordpress. Feel free to use ideas from the brochure but understand that the fonts used on the site should be readable rather than overly stylistic.
Feel free to consult other financial websites and blogs in order to familiarize yourself with the industry. Our design should be unique, but we can adapt ideas from other websites in the same industry.
The about menu and section of the site should allow for a company description with sub-navigation for leadership bios. Ideally the page will serve as a template for the remaining pages about services, contact information, and etcetera.
The page should integrate the bio text nicely with the photos found in the brochure.
