Z2Live
Z2Live is a small start-up social gaming company in Seattle WA. We are building the leading edge social gaming experiences for mobile phones.
Please read the entire brief and ask questions if needed. We want to help you create the best entry.
This new website should appeal to game developers looking to work in game development, along with gamers exploring what Z2Live's portfolio has to offer. These gamers are savvy and know the industry, along with what's cutting-edge on Mobile. We need to exceed their expectations and provide a fun, cool, and clean experience to showcase our games.
* The website cannot incorporate specific phone models in the design. Keep it abstract.
* No Flash.
* We want a carousel on the main page that cycles through our promoted titles. See example sites for reference.
* Must use existing logo (attached below)
* Try to infuse content into the website to make the games feel tied in with our corporate brand.
Main Nav should include:
Home
Games
Jobs
Press
About
Contact
Forums
Header/Footer should be standardized between pages.
2
Homepage:
Nav on top
Should incorporate a dynamic HTML carousel in the center of the page. See references below for examples.
The homepage should also leave ~3 spots below the carousel where we can feature individual game titles and/or news.
Implement Twitter feed from @Z2Live
Game-Specific Page:
This will be the landing page for each individual title. Please create this page in a template format, so the design can be re-used as we launch new titles.
This should feature a large piece of art in the center (Provided by us) along with space for 4-6 screenshots of the game. The header of this page should showcase the game logo as well.
Use assets from http://jujuplay.com/tradenations to build out this section, but make sure that it's a template and can be used on other titles.
Add space below for a bulleted list of "high points" about the game.
Implement "Available on the App Store" icon to the center art.
This website was initially created before we transitioned into making games. It's much too corporate and doesn't appeal to our target market whatsoever. Please don't refer to this for inspiration, just look at it as what not to do.
http://jujuplay.com/tradenations
This is one of our game-specific pages that we'll probably get rid of in favor of a template mentioned above. All of these assets are up for grabs, along with additional ones attached.
Do NOT copy style from any of these sites. They are meant to serve as usability examples only.
http://www.chillingo.com: The layout of this site is pretty close to what we're looking for. Not as creative as we'd like in design.
http://www.blizzard.com: Use of Flash is a no-go, but this site does a great job of putting the titles front and center in the carousel.
http://chillingo.com/sku.htm?sid=269: This page does a great job of infusing content into the website on the game page.
