Ningbo Focus is a monthly print magazine that targets urban, predominantly english speaking, 20 + age group. The online platform should provide a dynamic support to the print version and a supplementary source of revenue through advertisement, and pr. Beyond the content in the monthly printed magazine the online platform will include dynamic event calendar, extensive business directory, weather forecast, featured articles, writers, and descriptive listings of restaurants, and other business outlets . Today, Ningbo is establishing itself as not only a player in the world of international industry, trade and finance, but as a role model for the for the rest of the country in its preservation of arts, culture and ecology and as a leader in education and research. Ningbo Focus' sole purpose is to shine a light on the efforts that the public servants, private enterprises and individual citizens of Ningbo are putting forth to develop the city into a world-class international metropolis. Who reads Ningbo Focus? Our target readership is divided into the following groups: - International/Expat residents of Ningbo and surrounding areas - International students at institutions of higher learning - Local (Chinese) business professionals and students working or studying in international environments - Short-stay travelers - Government workers/officials How do we approach our content? Positive, supportive, apolitical. -Stories are covered with candor, sensitivity and will seek to present the city in the best light possible. -Lifestyle segments appeal to the sensibilities of the our well-defined readership, with the goal of enriching the social atmosphere of the city. This section also includes advice from financial and legal experts. - Science and Technology - This section introduces the technological and scientific achievements and advancements made in Ningbo and will serve to shed awareness on Ningbo's enormous progress in these areas. - City Development - This section will profile infrastructure and ecological development in the city, promoting an increase in the overall quality-of-life made as a result by public investments. - Education - This section will serve to shed light on Ningbo's achievements and goals in the academic fields, and will feature input from local universities with an emphasis on Sino-foreign cooperative efforts. - Commentary (editorials) - This section will feature editorial-style content from knowledgeable and qualified contributors. The homepage should draw the viewer's attention through functionality, user friendliness and richness of resources.
