Small manufacturing company who produce printed matter.
We have launched a key application in the business but have no design expertise .
We need a Simple (read funky, slick, )web page design for an internal web-based business system used by a small manufacturing company. The company manufactures printed output, and is creating a small scale digital asset management system with which to capture and display all relevant documents that are necessary to produce and deliver a print job.
These files could be any type of electronic file such faxes, word docs, emails, PDFs etc and will be entered into a database (via a web interface ). All records linked that are relevant to a particular print job will be able to be accessed via a simple web interface. These records will be searched via a job number or other advanced search .
E.g Job ABC may have a list of records like a fax, delivery instructions etc, and these will be displayed (with thumbnail images or associated file type icons ) into a web page for easy viewing. Images will be subject to rollovers viewing to allow a higher resolution thumbnail image .
Internal Business Audience Only for a hot new internal business system. We want it too look very polished to make sure the uptake of usage is high as it will be highly visible throughout the business
Deliverable:
Simple elegant, web page design that allows all the relevant fields (including placement of text boxes and droplists) to be easily viewable and data entry to follow a logical flow.
Screen dumps of current interfaces have been attached to show functionality and required user input.
Internal Branding
The name of the system has been coined "Digital Assets – Job Information"
The corporate branding of the company is a blue theme, and the company logo has a white background, These two elements must be incorporated in the web page. No other hard and fast considerations for design are mandated, but looking for something where staff take notice and say "hey that's nice "
