How inkcarts started their web page design journey
Small Town Chamber Needs Big Time Website Design
The Local Chamber of Commerce website needs a makeover. Our local chamber of commerce is dedicated to the growth and betterment of our business community.
The Chamber is VERY involved in this project, and we'll be working with them to provide almost immediate feedback on designs submitted.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our Target audience is Our Current Members, Business and Community Leaders, and others interested in news and events in our area. Our community is a "rice farming" community, so somehow that should be incorporated, but not the dominant theme of the page.
Our major goals for this website:
Event Promotion and Registration
and Community Promotion.
We are looking for a site with easy navigation, and clean design with impact.
Color Scheme: Our current logo is Pantone 296 and Pantone 382. We dont mind other colors, as long as the are professional. We like shading and gradients for depth. i have attached the current logo to this contest. feel free to change the orientation of the logo, in fact, i think we want the logo to the left of the text, so please, be creative.
I have an idea in mind for a layout, but I think i'd rather see the creative site of many designers, rather than my one sided vision.
I think the layout should include an area that can rotate, so we can feature business, events, etc. .
Number of pages
Home page. I think we'd like a top navigation that includes:
Home, Chamber Info, News & Events, Our Community, Economic Development, Leadership Excel and Member Directory.
I'd like to see three main features across the page, which focus on "The Benefits of Membership", More About Our Community, and Our Member Directory
I think it's important to have a section on the homepage that can highlight new members, and important news stories etc.
I think we need to leave space for a member login, maybe a Join the Chamber button and Links to other important area websites.
our existing website, which has served it's purpose, is crowleychamber dot com
We dont like the navigation of this site, nor do we like the color used in the background.
Here is a list of the sites the chamber told us they "like".
