See also the document Website Specification and our logo we uploaded. We like the skittle.com site a lot (something to project on our theme: a colorful bean stake?). We like the gomacro.com site. It mixes a light-hearted way of introducing ingredients and recipes with the possibility to add-to-cart/order straight from the recipe section. We like the perkier.co.uk site a lot. It is colorful and playish. We intend to use the same type of pot and tub packaging for our bean products. Our logo represents everything we stand for, it visualizes De Hippe Boon and the brand values we adhere to, namely Quality, Honest, Surprising, Fun, Good for me and Good for the world. In our opinion the logo as well radiates and visualizes our 10 reasons for loving beans: - Beans are delicious - Beans are versatile - Beans are easy-going - Beans are inexpensive - Beans are down-to-earth - Beans are stylish - Beans are colorful (coming from and being used all around the world) - Beans are pure - Beans are healthy - Beans are eco-friendly The logo has not a fixed color scheme, bit can be be presented in different color combinations and against different colored backgrounds. The colorful (hippie), yet stylish, yet earthy/organic approach should be captured in the site.
Main menu The main menu will be visible on every page ● Home ● Featured Beans ● Featured Recipes ● Bean Love ● Bean Blog ● Our Story ● Shop For these four pages we would like to have a design: Home Featured Beans Featured Recipes Shop Home The home page is the landing page that immediately captures the visitor’s interest with beautiful, large photographs and clever typography. Featured Beans Every week we will put the spotlight on 3 bean products. With simple navigation and beautiful photography we provide info and knowledge about the selected beans. Where did they originally grow, where are they consumed, nutritional value, typical taste & usage in kitchen, historical facts, in what songs do they play a role, in what movies do they play a role, etc. The information should not be organized in a strict menu, but it should be possible to vary with the type and category of info provided per featured bean or on a weekly basis. The tone of the information is lighthearted. This page should pull the visitor in. It should be a delightful, surprising experience to discover the various info bits. Almost like finding little easter eggs in their secret hiding places. While interacting with the information, some of the elements presented on this page are products for sale. So visitors should be able to add the product to the shopping cart with one click, while continuing to explore the information. Featured Recipes Every week we will put the spotlight on one recipe in 10 categories. The recipe categories are: 1. Dips & Starters 2. Soups 3. Salads 4. Chili 5. Stews 6. Curries 7. Casseroles 8. Pastas 9. Cookies & Bread 10. Desserts The ingredients for the recipes are presented with photography and for each ingredient there is additional information to discover. The recipes are provided in an easy-to-follow step-by-step format. The information should not be organized in a strict menu, but it should be possible to vary with the type and category of info provided per recipe category or on a weekly basis. The tone of the ingredient information is lighthearted. The recipe pages should pull the visitor in. It should be a delightful, surprising experience to discover new recipes and learn more about the various ingredients. Almost like finding little easter eggs in their secret hiding places (For a comparable example see the site of GoMacro.com). While interacting with the recipe information, some of the elements presented on this page are products for sale. So visitors should be able to add the product to the shopping cart with one click, while continuing to explore the recipes (For a comparable example see the site of GoMacro.com). From this page the visitor is enabled to search through archived recipes. The visitor can search by a combination of selectors: they can select one of the 10 categories, a specific bean product, a recipe tag (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, with meat, etc) or type in a name or use a combination of those four search possibilities. The search will return a list with thumbnail photos and the names of the recipes. When a recipe is selected it is presented in a straightforward way: one photo, ingredient list and preparation information. Shop - In the shop the visitor should be able to search for a product by typing in the name. - In the shop the visitor should be able to quickly drill down to the relevant product, starting from several broad categories and narrowing down to the specific product. Every choice should be a thumbnail photo which can be enlarged. - For each product the visitor should be able to select various packaging options (8 100 gram one person packs in a box, 8 200 gram two person packs in a box, 8 400 gram family packs in a box, 8 800 gram big family packs in a box). - Click and the product with the required packaging option is added to the cart, instead of click on the product, show a next screen, click to add to the cart, then show the contents of the cart and then needing to click 34 times to get back to where you were. - Once the very first product is added to the Cart, a simple form of the Cart stays visible on every page. - The Cart in its simple form presents the number of products in the Cart, the total Euro amount and the total protein, fiber, vitamin & mineral amount. - On every page, at every moment, from the Cart location the visitor can select to proceed to the next step: Checkout. - The shop should autosuggest 1. what other visitors bought in addition to the product selected, 2. great healthy combinations for the product selected. - Once in Checkout the Cart will show the products selected line byline with the following details per product: product picture, item name, packaging option, quantity, price in Euro including VAT. On the Checkout page also the total Euro amount is shown and the shipping fee is automatically calculated (versus a minimum order value above which shipping is free). - On the Checkout page visitors can do the following: ○ The visitor should be able to type in discount codes and apply those. ○ The visitor should be able to delete a product line from the Checkout page. ○ The visitor should be able to change quantity or packaging option per product line. - From the Checkout page they can go back to continue shopping or proceed to the next steps, namely providing their 1) delivery, 2) billing address and 3) payment details and 4) confirm the purchase. - A breadcrumb trail should help the visitor understand where they are in the process.
