There are three pages that we want redesigned:
(1) the home page,
(2) the lakes (waterbody) page; and
(3) the user generated content page
(1) HOME PAGE:
The home page is where we feature content from recent newsletters, and other announcements for our members. It can also include reports, new maps, etc. This page changes regularly.
(2) LAKES PAGE:
The "lakes" (waterbody) page follows a generic format and is applied to all lakes in our catalogue. The purpose of this page is to serve a root page for each unique waterbody. Information on these pages includes a Google map showing the location, what maps we have available for download, snippets of user generated content (thumbnails, report titles, etc.), and other information related to the lake (lat/long/province/region). NOTE: we will not be selling maps on this page any more (right column).
With the redesign, we intend to add rivers and salt water areas as well. The following link shows the layout of our current page for Sheridan Lake:
(3) USER GENERATED PAGE:
This page is where the user generated content is shown. There are three types of user generated content - comments, photographs and map markers. We need a generic page that can accommodate these three types of content. Visit the website link for Sheridan Lake (above) to see the types of content that are available for each lake.
The current design has spaces for two ads, but they are not a standard ad size. We intend to move to standardized ad sizes for the new design: one leaderboard (728*90) and one skyscraper (160*600). On pages (2) and (3) it is important to leave spaces for these ads.
