Our existing website is very out-dated and we plan to replace it, but we need a new design as a starting point. We need someone to produce a flexible page design, which we will then build on to produce the rest of the website.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Blue is a must, black is optional, other than that we're flexible! Desired Style: We are fairly open as to how it should look, but we need it to be flexible as to content. For example, we like the way http://www.mozilla.org/ is very modular - this is something we want to use. We like the way they have the six 'boxes' in three columns Accepted File Formats: HTML and CSS, any images used plus the PSD (or equivalent) files for them We are a UK based IT solutions company, aiming to deal with customer's IT needs in a unique way. We will provide any IT service either directly or by sub-contracting. We serve the residential and small business market, therefore the people looking at our website will most likely be professional people desiring to hire a professional company. Services we offer regularly include: - Web development - Pc maintenance and support - Pc health checks - Web hosting and Domain registration - IT Training The new website will be our 'corporate' website and therefore needs to have a corporate feel, but nothing too cold. It needs to make us look like a company people would like to do business with. The website will contain a small amount of information about all of our services, and in the future will have links to our other websites, which will include: - PC Component Sales Website - ISP Services Website - some others We have recently had a new logo designed, and have designed our new customer control panel around it. Both can be seen at http://admin.beasolutions.com/. The logo must be incorporated, however we do not want our main corporate website to be the same as our control panel. At the same time, a similar colour scheme might be a good idea so that people associate the two websites. Our existing website is at http://beasolutions.com/, but I am only providing this link for informational purposes - our new website will not necessarily contain the same content or information. What we dislike about our current website is that we feel it is old fashioned and portrays us as a company which is not flexible enough and does not adapt to the needs of our clients in the ever-changing IT industry. We are looking for a design that will that will portray the image of a flexible company, moving with technology, which can be trusted to provide the best service possible to all our clients, whoever they may be. The design must not be a 'table-based' design, and must be valid XHTML 1.0 Strict, valid CSS, must comply with the W3's accessibility guidelines, and should render without problems in at least Internet Explorer 6 and 7 and Firefox 1.5 and 2. We would welcome any questions or suggestions for comment. Additional Information added after contest started! Here we will put points following on from questions or entries we have had. - The final design must not be fixed width. It needs to stretch with the user's browser window.
