What's your vision?
Tagline: optional Desired Color Scheme: white background, navy foreground (i.e. text, borders etc) Desired Style: integrated design - suitable for all oscommerce pages Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff); .php design we want an innovative minimalistic design. this contest is for a new london shopping outlet, the online launch will be supported by a direct marketing campaign. please see the holding page @ http://www.valuelondon.co.uk for the three products that are required for product launch. copyright material can be used from the hyundai website @ http://www.hyundaiit.com/Eng/ a lot of oscommerce sites look the same and this is not good so please go crazy. oscommerce can be unwieldly and all the functionality is not required on all screens. what we expect less is more when it comes to code. design should use CSS where possible. coding has to be XHTML Strict where possible and please no flash. do not submit a template already in use on the web. we expect a fully functional ecommerce skin such as that offered on http://www.templatemonster.com/oscommerce-templates.php including a working demo such as http://osc3.template-help.com/osc_17150/index.php this means we expect you to download the latest oscommerce v2.2 and provide us a link to your finished product as well as displaying the homepage (index.php) on the sitepoint website for feedback. unfortunately this does require you to have php skill and probably previous oscommerce experience. we require only the three products shown on the holding page to be present on the final entry. these should be set up with their own product pages with specs, manuals, reviews etc. we do not require you to integrate a payment processor, but the winning contestant will be required to add a SSL certificate (that we will pay for) to their entry to claim the second part of their prize. logo simple logo based on the (lower case)written words "valuelondon.co.uk" in a vector format in the navy colour. sites that we respect apple google sitepoint prize $1,000, paid in two parts. $500 for receipt of completed design and a further $500 once the concept is up and running on our servers. additional work will be available dependent on the success of the concept. feedback we will greatfully review every entry and guarantee that every submission will receive daily feedback. please submit your designs as early as possible so we can provide guidance. we want the best design so we feel we should run the best contest. please feel free to contact us with any queries / concerns. late req added 20/11/07: I forgot to add site must be viewable on a 15"screen (800x600 res) for obvious reasons. added 20/11/07: XHTML strict is a prefered standard and where possible should be followed. Taking into account that oscommerce is already coded we will accept XHTML transitional.Â
