micfur got their new web page design (coded) by running a design contest:
Medical Devices distribution website
Check out micfur's Web Page Design (Coded) contest…
Traditionally, medical devices users, eg hospitals, purchase their devices via distributors rather than directly from the manufacturer. This adds a significant cost premium on these purchases. This site aims to cut out the 'middle man' by appealing directly to the hospital users themselves to make their purchase directly from this e-commerce website.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: #990000 & #3F3F3F Further colours will also be considered Desired Style: Efficent, clean, uncluttered Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai) The website can be found at www.patronmedical.com. This competition requires the design of 2 pages, a home page and a product page. Both of these current pages can be found at:http://www.patronmedical.com/ and http://www.patronmedical.com/acatalog/ptca.html As you can see the site is bland at the moment and needs to be re-designed to be more eye catching. Key messages on home page that need to get focus: * Price: The offer of €35 per device is by far lowest in the industry. This is the number 1 message to be articulated. * Quality: All devices offered on site are by reputable experienced manufacturers The Look: * As it is the medical industry a clean professional look is essential. * There is some room for 'spicing' up the €35 price message on the homepage. * Uncluttered design is preferred. * Consider the use of images to make the site more interesting. Restrictions: * Logo must be used. Can be found at:http://www.patronmedical.com/logo.html * Dominant colours are #990000 (dark red) and #3f3f3f (charcoal) . Additional colours will be considered in parallel with these colours. * Font type: no restrictions * Use text content already available on site.
