myapartmentguy needed a new coded website design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 9 designs submitted by 2 freelance designers.
I am going to need a total of 3 pages designed for my Aparment Finding website website. The winner will get the opportunity to design the larger second version for over $1000.
Desired Color Scheme:
Soft greens, blues, oranges, and white
Desired Style:
Very similar to http://www.mynewplace.com, web 2.0ish
For the first version home page we are going to keep it simple. Take a look at http://www.promove.com to get an idea of what we need for the first version home page. The major design is just the home page. The first link off of the home page will have text information geared towards apartment managers asking them to place an ad free of charge. This link will be named something like "Free Property Advertising." This page will also have an example listing for them to view. There will be a button at the bottom of that page that will take them to the next page which will be the online "Terms and Conditions" contract to place an ad on the website. There will be a check this box and "Submit" button underneath the "Terms and Conditions" box. Once they "Submit" it will take them to the next page where there will be an autofill section for them to describe their apartment unit and attach pictures. I will send a word document containing this information to everyone that enters the contest. After they fill in this information and hit "Submit" it will take them to a "Thank You" page.
The next set of links off of home page are geared toward the renters. I want there to be a box on the home page where they can input their zipcode. When they enter their zip and click submit on the home page it will take them to a page similar to http://www.promove.com/atlanta/contact.aspx At this page we are getting information to get back in contact with them about the different apartments that are available. After they submit their information it will take them to a "Thank You" page.
The incentive for using my site will be to give the person leasing the apartment a $100 bonus for mentioning MyApartmentGuy as the referral. Include this information on the website.
Whoever designs the first version of the site will also have to design the page where the apartment information will be displayed for the second version right away. This is the aparment listing page example I talked about earlier. We are going to use this as an example to show the apartment complexes what their ad will look like on the second version. The display page will look something like this, http://www.mynewplace.com/action/vi…6957147but with our own design obviously. We are also going to put the basic links at the bottom of the page, such as "About Us", "Privacy Policy", "Advertising Policy", "Cash Bonus Terms", "Equal Housing Opportunity", "Terms of Use", "Sitemap", "Home", and "Contact Us." All of these will be generic pages with just text in them.
