Advanced Photo Rating Site - Web 2.0 Re-Design

We are looking for a professional ‘Web 2.0’ website. The website would be best described as an advanced photo rating website suitable for the ‘Web 2.0’ environment. The design should conform to this description.

The website consists of about 15 pages (only 5 main pages)– many of which reuse attributes and elements from other pages. Once we select a contestant’s design, the winning contestant will work with us to adapt the new design to all these pages.

HotNation (we will use this alias to determine the winning logo/design. Once selected we have to adjust the logo w real name)

Desired Color Scheme:
open (prefer light colors) – looking for creativeness

Desired Style:
professional, clean, hip, sexy, chic (professional is key – but distinguish from ‘corporate’ – this is not a paper clip company!)

What we are looking for in a design:
We are looking for a redesign of our site. We believe simplicity will be key in putting the proper focus on the photos and assets of the site. Because it is a picture rating site, the site design shouldnt be too graphic heavy (which would make it compete with the photos). The photos should be the main focus!

Attached are two of the main pages from our site as it currently exists. We are happy with the general layout of the site, but we dont like the design. We are looking for some creativeness and uniqueness to distinguish the page and make it really appealing and user friendly.

Only Template HTML code is necessary.

Site Characteristics: professional, clean, hip, sexy, chic (professional is key but distinguish from corporate this is not a paper clip company!)

Website Brand Name:
HotNation (we will use this alias to determine the winning logo/design. Once selected, the winner will have to change the characters to the appropriate name, but design will be the same)

** The emphasis should be on the H and the N, both should be capitalized

Contest Notes:
The contest will be judged on a combination of the logo & design(s) of the two attached pages (splash page and main page). It is not required for the designer to redesign both pages to enter the contest, but it would increase the chances of winning for such designer to do so. In addition, any winning designer will have to work with us to adapt the design to the remaining pages of the site (about 15 pages in total).

Also please note, we have several additional projects in the pipeline that, in the interest of continuity and not reinventing the wheel for every project, means that we would like to build an established relationship with a designer so that such designer can work with us going forward in a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership.
