I was suspicious at first. Would I receive real "professional designs?" Is this a waste of time? Would I be able to attract any artists considering my limited budget? The first couple days I was worried because I was offering a low cash bid. And, this was third time around for me using "referred designers". One was good, one was unspeakable. Either way I already had nearly a thousand dollars into logos, and my business partner was not happy with the results of our efforts. So a friend recommended 99designs. We looked at the pages, saw many exceptional images, but worried our limited budget would not get us to the caliber we needed. We were wrong. It's also important to state that two designers were disqualified for suspicion of violating trademark / copy write law. This is a very important issue, and knowing the art is monitored and checked for violations, gave us a feeling of safety. We were very pleased to get 82 logos to look at, comment on, and ultimately choose. We liked two so much we simply paid a little more for both. All rights to trademark and copywrite included. Not bad for less than 600.00 dollars, considering we looked at other large companies offering cash awards in the thousands of dollars, and our logos could stand against any of them. Thank YOU 99designs.
