Me
I have a tattoo that I got when I was 18 and now I would like to change.
Main Theme:
1. I love and am proud of the fact that I'm Canadian and so I really don't want to eliminate the maple leaf as the center point. It can definitely be made bigger, the interior/beaver can be changed or blanked out
2. I would like to add the quote "The True North" across the top and the "Strong and Free" across the bottom (it is a line from our national anthem)
3. The Beaver: I have never loved the beaver, it was a bit cartoonish for me but i felt pressured to go ahead with the tattoo. I would be happy to see it made more classic, maybe as just a silhouette/shadow so it looks less goofy. Alternatively I would be ok with simply filling in the maple leaf
Additional Ideas/Suggestions:
-I have toyed with the idea of putting the points of a compass (NESW) at the 4 points of the maple leaf
-I do a lot out doors so working mountains/pine trees into the background or inner leaf would be cool
-I definitely don't want it feeling cluttered or busy
Size:
-The lower limit is the red line i scratched/drew on my arm in on of the photos (its hidden by the photos with the tape measure) so that it won't show when I am at work. It is about an 1.5 inches below the bottom of the current tattoo for reference.
-I am cool with a sleeve (as in full color across the upper deltoid from front to back) or with skin showing through between the elements
