austin.hertell got their new tattoo by running a design contest:
design a tattoo for me, commemorating my years in Madrid

What's your vision?
I’d like a sketch for an eventual tattoo of the Metropolis building in Madrid, Spain. The tattoo will probably live on the upper forearm of my right arm. The top of the building would be oriented upwards (so the top point of the building would face towards my right elbow). I imagine the tattoo being pretty wide, and wrapping around most of my forearm. Just black ink for the tattoo. I’m open to suggestion, but I think for the sake of space, I’ll probably only want to include the portion of the building from the “metropolis” and up (this will make sense once you look at the picture). I like ‘fine line’ tattoos, kind of trending towards minimalist. Not sure if I’m using the right terminology, but some examples of other people’s tattoos whose style I like are attached. I’m really open to suggestion, but I think I’d like the tattoo to be mostly a realistic representation of the building. The only tweaks I’d want would be kind of a hidden message. The person at the top of the building is a representation of someone from Greek / Roman mythology. I’d like to include some subtle devil-like references on this person, maybe like a barely-visible tail, or small horns (or both). For context, I am from the states, but did most of college and grad school in Madrid, Spain. The city means a huge amount to me, and I lived right next to this building for some of my best years there. I also partied a ton while living in Spain, and I want the demon references to symbolize that. I want these demon references / tweaks to be pretty small and subtle, so that someone may not notice them unless I point them out and want to give them the whole story.
attached images show the metropolis building. Rest of the images of tattoos show the kind of style Iike
