Redmountainwoman got their new tattoo by running a design contest:
Dancing trees tattoo

Art & Design
The aim is to encourage forming new connections with new people in our community while expressing botany and mycology background.
What's your vision?
The idea behind the tattoo is how each of us collects a bunch of different perspectives from many different people (profiles of faces in roots), grows from them (trees), shares with others (another tree), and shares their perspective with the world (branches + blossoms). I would like to expand on this idea a bit. Some new perspectives and creative input will be extremely helpful. I would like to make one of the trees a masculine figure, and keep the other feminine. I would like input as to whether one tree should go on top of my forearm (back of the hand side), and one on the back (palm side), or to have them dance and be less concerned with placement. Wherever there is bare ground I would like a few xsmall mushrooms (amanita, morel, psilocybe sepermexicana, ect). I would like to expand the branches to intermingle; as if two people are sharing thoughts. And add a few blossoms? I'm unsure of what kind. Both trees should show roots sourced straight from the trunk into the ground, but intertwine immediately below the surface. I would like for the mushrooms to also show small root systems that tap into the trees' roots.
Please use your creative ideas as well. The picture is a very rough draft. I do like the realistic style with some flow. The trees are part of Mark Johnson's collection.
