Team Mannschaft needs a jersey design!
The jerseys will be ordered from champ-sys.com based on the following jersey template:
Information on how to design the jersey can be found at this link under the heading "How to Design Your Jersey Digitally"
-Must be vector artwork - Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or Macromedia files only
-Use pantone colors - each # will be needed for submission with the artwork
-Convert text to outlines (or provide font names)
The design could be a full jersey design based on the template (preferred), but champ-sys can also work with just a logo design and then mock up a full jersey with a basic full jersey design that goes with the logo.
Mannschaft is the German word for "team" so essentially we are Team Team. We thought the play on words was funny and Mannschaft is just a cool sounding word.
In terms of design elements, here are some ideas:
-The jersey or logo should feature "team mannschaft". For some reason, I envision the team name in all lower case, but that isn't necessarily a must have. I am open to having a "tag line" as well, but haven't been able to think of anything catchy. Any ideas? I don't see the team name being overly prominent, but definitely readable by people walking or riding by.
-For colors, I see something that includes blue, green, and orange, something that captures outdoor and bike riding. Here are two jerseys that feature colors that are in the ballpark of what I'm thinking: http://www.customcyclewear.com/CS-2…_small.jpg

-You could choose to be inspired by the fact this ride takes place in Iowa. However the jersey should NOT have the word RAGBRAI listed.
-This is a team based in new beginnings. The group leader rode with a previous team and has since divorced and has created a new team. (There is another double meaning to the word Mann...Schaft that alludes to the departure of the group leader's husband from the marriage!)
- In terms of new beginnings, one idea that I find potentially appealing is to play off of the bird phoenix. Here are some images that I find interesting. Perhaps this could be a featured element, or part of a logo.
