Ridin' Dirty got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Ridin' Dirty Clothing- need LADIES' t-shirt designs
Check out Ridin' Dirty's T-shirt contest…
-This contest is for our LADIES collection, so designs should be cool and edgy, but they should be slightly more feminine than our men's designs. -Designs should be on ladies' short-sleeved t-shirts. -Target age range for our ladies is 17-35. -Our younger customers usually like larger graphics, and our older customers often like something a little more simple. So we have room for both in this collection. -You can visit our website to see more of our styles at www.RidinDirtyClothing.com. Take a look before you start so you have an idea of what we like! -Our brand applies to different sports as well but this contest is for our Western/ Rodeo side so if you can include some elements in your design that suggest it is for cowgirls, this is great. Some examples may be horses, barrel racing, horseshoes, stars, cowboy boots/ hats, whatever you think works well for your design. -Additional tag lines that you can use in your designs- though you do NOT need to use them if you don't want to. We like some designs to use tag lines, and we like some without, so do whatever feels best for your design: -Practice No Restraint -Some girls just aren't meant to be tamed -Want It. Get It. -Since 1976 -Keep in mind that this is for the MODERN COWGIRL- she is cool, popular and wears what the other ladies want to wear. She has brand name jeans, she is athletic, pretty and if she has a boyfriend, he is handsome and drives a cool car. If she doesn't have a boyfriend, it's because she's a little on the wild side and may not be ready to settle down just yet! -Look at some of the popular American t-shirt companies like Oneill, Billabong, Hurley, Fox, etcetera. They are obviously not Western/ Cowgirl brands, but look at how they subtly suggest their lifestyle in their designs- we do the same thing, it's just for the Western/ Cowboy world. -Incorporate our brand name into the designs somehow. You can decide if it is the main focus of the design, or if it is very small- whatever works for each design. -If you Livetrace any phtos, be sure that there are no recognizable logos of other brands. The only brand that can be legible is ours. -Ridin' Dirty must always have an apostrophe after the N in Ridin'. Incorrect: Ridin Dirty Correct: Ridin' Dirty SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS--- -Final files must be all-vector (Adobe Illustrator( and backsaved down to CS3. -Colors must be converted to Spot or PMS. -Fonts must be properly outlined/ converted to curves. -You must also include the font folder for all fonts used. (This is just so if we need to make minor adjustments to your wording, or if we decide to make a design to be used on the back of the shirt to match your front art, we need the same fonts.)
Our brand name Ridin' Dirty must be included somehow in the design. You can use whatever fonts you'd like, and you can make our brand name as large or as small as you want. We like some designs to have our brand name be very bold, and we like some to be smaller and less obvious, so do whatever you like best.
What to avoid
-Please do NOT use wings in your design! Angel wings, bird wings- any kind of wings, we do not want them. They have been used on too many shirts by too many other companies- we do not want wings in our collection! -Please do not use more than 3 colors in a design. If your design needs 4 or more colors, you'll need to modify your design to make it work with fewer colors. -Final files must all-vector so please do not use PhotoShop! Or if you do use it, you have to be prepared to convert it to all vector art before submitting to us.
