paulSl got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Inspiring t-shirt design for clean water
Check out paulSl's T-shirt contest…
We would like it to be a full front design. The design should be modern, trendy. This design supports providing clean water. 663 million people in the world live without clean water. People in areas such as Africa spend hours every day walking to collect water, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. Access to clean water means education, income and health - especially for women and kids. Learn more here: https://www.charitywater.org/global-water-crisis Design will be printed on men’s and ladies apparel, and the design should appeal to a socially conscious Millennial. This should not be a basic clipart driven t-shirt you see for a charity, but a trendy graphic tee you’d buy at the mall.
We really like this abstract, watercolor look: https://www.designbyhumans.com/shop…ar/162804/ What if we had African women silhouettes walking to gather water (one can have a jerry can... see below), with their reflections in the water colored triangles below? How can we show women creating jobs and getting education in the reflections? (Women spend 40 billion hours a year walking for water and are responsible for 72% of the water collected in Africa. When a community gets water, women and girls get their lives back. They start businesses, improve their homes, earn an income, and go to school -- all of which fight poverty) In Africa, many carry water in “jerry cans”, which look like this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZzEhjUiZOuU/ThFp45PGYBI/AAAAAAAAARI/E9G1A5LIti8/s400/woman-carring-jerrycan-of-water.jpg. Charity:water (charitywater.org) is the charity we are providing funds for, and they use a yellow jerry can in their marketing. While it shouldn’t be identical for copyright reasons, that might be another aspect of the concept. Be creative and make it trendy.
