Nasd90 ran a stationery contest and chose a winning design they loved.
This is a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) business (instruction, sales, eco-tours) that is targeting a market that is new to SUP.
I think a double-sided business card will work better, and please make note that this is going to be a WATERPROOF business card.
Note all logo's are pretty much given in the PDF and you can easily get them via Google. I made a mockup of the elements needed in the business card.
OPTIONAL: The logo for the business is easy, I want it pretty simple... The 'T' in Tallahassee should be 2 stand up PADDLES that make up a T. How easy. Then, make it a TSUP (acronym for Tallahassee Stand Up Paddle). YES, it says create a separate contest for logo's and I agree but this is EASY. I spent a decade at a Fortune100 Ad Agency working right next to designers so I know I'm not asking for a lot.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE A LOGO. YOU CAN PLAY WITH THE TEXT OF "Tallahassee Stand Up Paddle". AGAIN, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE A LOGO. I HAVE ENOUGH LOGO"S ON THE CARD ALREADY. :-)
Now, the center picture of someone SUP'n (stand up paddleboarding from this point on), can be of your choice. Can be a mini-cartoon like the one I ripped, or a picture, but it has to look professional. Remember, this is a new area to Stand Up Paddleboarding, so they need to see a sideways pic/graphic of someone on a board. (VERY IMPORTANT).
Other logo's include:
Starboard (that's the SUP boards I sell - Needs to be on FRONT) - (Starboard logo & Tiki man do not have to be the one's I provided, just included them as a visual aid... If you want to use them, or something like it great, just saying)
WPA - World Paddling Association (this is where I'm certified to teach)
PaddleFit - I'm also certified here, I'm guessing these would be on the back)
email address: email@example.com
NOTE: Submissions must have all design elements & text. About the only thing you can substitute is where I say: "Tallahassee's only authorized Starboard dealer", you can put "Authorized (insert Starboard text logo) then dealer if you want. Remember, people here don't know who Starboard is, and don't know SUP. This card has to explain it a bit. Thank you.
It's got to POP but be easy to read for newbie's to the sport.
I like blue.
I like water. (not waves because there is no beach in Tallahassee)
and Starboard logo & Tiki man (can be found at http://star-board-sup.com and google) needs to be on there, on the front, prominent.
Also needs to have a silouhette of someone SUP'n on the front and possibly the back. Needs to be easy to make out what they are doing.
Big wave shots.
Too busy or professional... has to have a 'cool' aspect to it.
