Although the full name of the firm is "The Law Offices of Ali Salimi" - the domain is "Salimi Law" and I prefer the brevity of "Salimi Law" so I was thinking there could be a graphic or logo or emblem signifying "Salimi Law" or something similar (short & sweet; something that gets the message across visually without the necessity of reading a bunch of words). Then we could use "The Law Offices of Ali Salimi" to either go around the circumference of the logo/emblem/symbol (whatever it may be) or maybe even next to it.
I favor the color BLUE. And also, keep in mind that this will be used across all of my printed materials (biz cards, letterhead, stationary, envelopes, etc.) so it should be something that translates well on all of those forms of goods.
If you're designing an emblem/symbol with letters, I would prefer ONLY using the letter "S" for 'Salimi' (as opposed to using "SL" for 'Salimi Law'). If there's a nice font to use to make "S" prominent, I'd like that.
Also, I'd like for the symbolic portion of the letterhead to be a visualization of justice/law/etc. I don't like an obvious image of a gavel or scale but, instead, a contemporary take on those types of images. i.e. a single brush stroke that shadows a gavel (for example-it could be scale or column or anything really). Just enough of a line to make out the image.
