We are a news site that focuses on stories about black America.
What's your vision?
We need a Facebook timeline cover graphic designed. The logo for the site (attached) must be integrated in that it will be loaded in at the main logo for the page. It should flow into the cover graphic. The graphic should tell the stories of black America today through using some of the supplied faces (below or use any assets from thegrio.com). It should also subtly guide the eye towards the 'Like' button to the right and below of the graphic. One thought was a path leading to the like button, but anything that leads the eye there might work. The color palate should incorporate some of the blue from thegrio.com, but not too much. dimensions: 851x315 interesting integrations to look at for examples. http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/creative-facebook-timeline-covers/ Some photos for he faces: http://www.thegrio.com/michelle-obama-dress-11.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/Drake_GQ.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/uploads/Quincy-jones-0scars.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/uploads/president-obama-6.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/uploads/president-obama-3.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/new%20holder4by3.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/uploads/chris-brown-FAME-1-1.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/Rihanna-Talk-That-Talk-album-cover-regular-1121.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/uploads/Maya10-1-1.jpg http://www.thegrio.com/Tylerperry_Wils.jpg

And then… they selected a winner!
Ilbey came up with one of the most unique designs in my contest. It was simple, yet contained all of the elements that I was looking for. It was not only my favorite, but when I polled my friends and family, it was the consistent winner. Ilbey was very responsive to my feedback and made all requested changes within a day.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
