PetShops.com LOVELY LOGO NEEDED!!!

We are constructing a price comparison site for pet products. The website will display a large range of products and compare pricing on each item, from multiple vendors. Target audience are pet owners, people who care for animals.

The word "PetShops" will be the main logo on the home page of the website. It will appear on the upper left side, in the header. Ideally, it would be great if the designer could somehow make the word look lovable, comforting, trustworthy and perhaps, subtly convey the purpose of the business; (to offer variety from multiple pet shops). For other logo's and social media designs, I am looking for something that customers will find comforting, (like a pet), something lovable, perhaps along the lines of a little dog with a magnifying glass, (Perhaps looking for the best deals on his pet supplies???) It will need to be fairly simple, perhaps a bit cheeky, but most importantly, elegant, rather than tacky? I have not decided on a slogan yet, and probably won't include one in the website header, but any slogan ideas that match the theme for the social media pages, would be appreciated. UPDATE: Please concentrate on the word; "PetShops" for the title of the website. See the attachment as a close example of what I'm looking for. Focus on the following: Font must be close to the length/height ratio I have suggested in my sketch. (fairly compact, but easy to read). Colours... Anything that portrays quality, trust and comfort. I like blues, but am open to suggestions. Try to tuck the dot com under the end of the word, as this needs to be compact. Again, open to suggestions/ideas on this. Thanks!!!
