So the Outdoor Boys is a YouTube Channel so our YouTube channel Banner is very important. We also have a facebook page, and I want the banner to communicate in some way that we are a YouTube Channel. Calls to actions (like "Subscribe!") are ok if done right, but certainly now obligatory. We currently don't do twitter, but we might in the future. My biggest requirement is that the design work on Desktop, Tablet or mobile phone. YouTube and Facebook (and probably twitter too) crop and reshape the banner depending on the device so the design has to still work at those different dimensions.
I believe that Facebook banners are as follows:
Displays at 820 pixels wide by 312 pixels tall on computers and 640 pixels wide by 360 pixels tall on smartphones. Must be at least 399 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall and Loads fastest as an sRGB JPG file that's 851 pixels wide, 315 pixels tall and less than 100 kilobytes.
YouTube banners are a bit trickier. I believe you can find the requirements for youtube banners here: https://support.google.com/youtube/…ktop&hl=en
A banner designs have to fit these requirements so heads up.
