The website ICH LIEBE BERGE is the digital guide for mountain sports and People who are enthusiastic about the outdoors, who like to experience something outside and who want to find out about equipment, new products and innovations in the form of news and tests, films, lectures, events and accommodation, or who are looking for a special tour. Our focus is on clothing, shoes and equipment in summer in the areas of biking, hiking & trekking, alpine tours & mountaineering, expeditions, climbing & via ferratas, running, trail running, travel and in winter in the areas of ice climbing, freeride, cross-country skiing, Snowshoe tours and ski tours. We test and report on clothing, glasses, shoes, socks, backpacks, sleeping bags & sleeping mats, tents, outdoor stoves & food, pots & dishes, bottles & containers, camping furniture, photo & electronics, navigation & watches, knives & Tools, bike equipment, climbing equipment, mountaineering equipment, ski and avalanche equipment, books & films and hotels. The majority of the readers are between 25-54 years. 30% are female and 70% are male readers. The readers come mainly from the German-speaking countries: Germany, Switzerland, Austria and South Tyrol in Italy. Small proportions come from all over the world and translate it via Google Translate. We market ourselves as a Swiss magazine. So the origin is very important. Also because there are an extremely large number of outdoor magazines and blogs, but none of our size in Switzerland. It's not a blog, it's more of a magazine. Important: it's not a shop - we don't sell anything! We don't earn anything. We make ICH LIEBE BERGE for fun - more than 120 people work or write in total. Most test something and write a review about it.

After years of building it up and trying it out, we now want a uniform appearance. A logo that works digitally. The name ICH LIEBE BERGE means I LOVE MOUNTAINS. However, the logo must show the name in German. This would be written out: “Ich liebe Berge” or in capital letters “ICH LIEBE BERGE”. DON'Ts: - "Ich Liebe Berge" with a capital "L" is not possible, as this would be misspelled. - The web address should not be part of the logo. There are no textual additions and no claim. - I find cursive fonts, hard-to-read lettering or italic fonts less good in this context. - No vintage, no retro look, no DIY look, no lumberjack-look, no hipster camper look. (We are not a website with beautiful pictures in the Instagram look, which shows people lonely in a mighty nature.) Rather, we're a site with news and tests on equipment, pictures of ice axes and rain jackets. It's about mountain sports and thus also about performance, innovations, novelties. We are not professional photographers, but amateurs, for whom it is more important to be outside than to take the perfect photo. It is important to note that. In marketing language: we are not a fancy insta influencer brand, but much more down to earth. Rather, the logo could also be a bit Swiss - rather classic Swiss typography. (Reminder: There is much more than HELVETICA and FRUTIGER. They are fine, but you can find a better solution.) The font and the typeface is very important! If the font is convincing and how it is set, such a solution can ultimately be better than the combination with a symbol. It is of course possible to combine the lettering with a symbol, icon or illustration. But the font must not be forgotten. Simply a symbol and font Helvetica underneath is not enough. Of course, it makes sense to associate the name with a mountain symbol. This is possible, we had it up to now, but it is extremely common and almost reduces the recognition effect, as almost everyone has it. Another idea would be a simple type-logo, in which the font has beveled parts or edges, which could symbolize contour lines or mountains. So the task is to create a strong logo that is independent. ### Colours Up until now the color world was very black, white and red. It doesn't have to stay ok, we can also leave red (with reference to the Swiss flag). Be brave. ### Used in different Sizes The logo is important for our website. The logo must also work on the smartphone, must also work in a tiny version! And we need ist for Social Media. Profile pictures are virtually all circular now! Even on a Facebook Page, the square photo next to the cover photo gets cropped to a circle elsewhere. That is why we need a working logo accordingly! Make sure there’s nothing critical in the corners of the square. In addition to the website, we need the logo for the following social media channels, in which it sometimes has to be used round: - Facebook group - Twitter - Youtube ### Social Media Background For the background we don't want photos. We want a solution, that we can change for 2 seasons: summer and winter. Please design now a «winter version»! It should be an illustration, should be more timeless than a photo and it should fit into all the formats more easily. Think of areas, lines, mountain horizons, map lines and for winter, skis, ski poles, ski boots, snowshoes, ice ax.
