Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This logo is for the website and social media for an OB/GYN practice. The website it being completely redesigned, and we want the logo to guide our color palette. There currently is no logo, just the name of the organization at the top of the web page.
Because the logo must translate well on the web, it needs an aspect ratio that works well. It cannot be taller than it is wide. Square or rectangular, horizontal set is desired. It will work best to have a horizontal aspect ratio of 2:1. So if the logo was printed at 2” wide it would be 1” tall. This is not a rigid requirement, only a guideline.
The color palette needs to be appealing to the target demographic, women and expecting mom's looking for a women's health care practice. The logo also has to work in black and white as well as in color.
A little about the group:
The Women’s Healthcare Group has a history of 27 years in practice. The providers are committed to the best care possible for patients. They believe that patients get the best medical care when they establish a partnership with the provider and actively participate in the medical decision-making process. They are located in Overland Park, Kansas.

There are no color or font restrictions because we are starting from scratch. The logo is our first step in the design process. However, it is important that this appeals to a 100% female audience, all of whom are focused on their female health. This practice is partially for gynecological patients and partially for females wanting/expecting babies. So the logo needs to focus on all aspects of female health, not just having a baby. Ages of the target market are 18 to 80, all women post-menstruation. And some women post-menopausal. The gamut!
