Golf Podcast logo for a journey toward improvement

I need a logo for my new podcast, "Chasing Red Numbers," which is generally about all things golf. I plan to cover news on the pro golf tours, but also an emphasis on improving my listener's golf games through my own personal journey of getting lessons and trying to become a better player. I am also planning to do some golf products and apparel reviews. I want to inspire the young players in their improvement and involvement in golf, as well as those whose schedules don't allow them to spend all day playing and practicing. My target market is really pretty broad; from young players to seniors, as golf covers a wide age range and demographic. Mostly, this will be a podcast, but there may be occasional video content and even some written blog-type posts.

I really like a flat, more minimalist design; something that will work well to include in a website header, on social media posts, and when embroidered on a polo shirt or hat. Honestly, I am open to suggestions on the type, but I am open to either a symbol, wordmark, or a combination. I guess a combo might work best, but again, I am completely open to your design ideas.
