We were looking for a dream design for our new backpackers accommodations: first the logo and then the brand guide. The contest for the logo revealed very good designers, amongst them Minew who won the contest. Minew is a very professional designer with lot of creativity, reactivity, patience and attention. She is also flexible and she made as many updates as we needed in both the logo and the brand guide. We really love the result!

Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Ingénue is a food innovation company developed by, and for, sub-Saharan Africans. We make nutritious, packaged convenience foods, that are modern and affordable for the growing African middle class. ingénue brings a sophisticated yet playful twist on familiar foods, that African young people grew up enjoying. By sourcing local ingredients and combining them with traditional recipes, we are serving local palettes while opening up opportunities for our customers to eat adventurously, without leaving home.
Our first products include coconut yogurt sweetened with Ghanaian tigernut milk and agave, fresh popped corn seasoned with South African biltong spices, and carbonated Kombucha fermented with guava and papaya fruits.

Most customers are urban professionals between the ages of 24-40, they work full-time jobs in finance, telecommunications, and multinational corporations (Non-Governmental Orgs, big brands like Diageo, CocaCola, Procter & Gamble, etc.). They are educated and aspirational. Due to supply chain problems, and high import costs, their choices for convenience foods are limited and expensive in most African cities. They are proudly African, yet well aware of, and curious about, new trends and cultures around the world.
