We are a Bahamian fast food establishment, selling local quick fare like fried chicken, crack conch, burgers, etc... Our target audience is Bahamian locals on the go.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want a very simple sign. Something that simply advertises the name "Imperial's" accompanied by the image of our local favorite shellfish, the Queen Conch, wearing a crown tilted/hanging on its shell horns. We're trying to keep the look of the sign very simple and clean, drawing off of classic colonial elements in its style. The exterior of the building is a yellow (Benjamin Moore Lemon 334) with white trim - we would like the sign to go with this. But feel free to represent the Queen Conch colors truly. Also feel free to play with weather the conch is shown vertically or horizontally, lip up (pink inside showing) or lip down. For font, all capital letters in a bold, but nondescript script should suffice. For dimensional purposes, the sign is going to be a rectangular sign.
I've always been fond of the conch images in The Queen Conch book - perhaps not quite so wispy watercolory for our purposes, but it may serve as a creative starting point. Definitely don't use that font though. Googling The Queen Conch Book and Queen Conch in general will definitely provide inspiration.
