We see what we are doing as vastly different from the current medical industry and want our internal design to reflect this, meaning we do not want anything that looks like it should be in a medical clinic.
We have an uphill battle trying to separate ourselves from the pharmacy, as many people approach our receptionist thinking she will be able to help them with products in the pharmacy. Our reception desk was previously the same red that is found in the pharmacy and we have now switched this to wood and are yet to paint the bottom section.
**We do have a slight issue that we are working with people on at the moment about the words we use to describe our services. It is easy to want to say 'integrative medicine' or 'complementary' or 'alternative' medicine, but we do not want to use any of these prefixes as it is similar to saying 'christian science'. We think that what we are doing is just 'good' medicine, but don't feel like we should need to say that. It is still important to include words in our external signage that describe what we do like 'General Medicine' or 'doctors' or something, but we are not fully sure how to approach it...
The colours that we want to use throughout our marketing are:
the light grey and green found in our logo
a dark grey/charcoal
The light coloured wood our reception desk is made from.
We want two designs:
Sign out the front of the chemist (main sign): W615xH1800
In no specific order:
- (something like 'doctors' or GP Services' etc.)
-(03) 9662 2256
-website (although it hasn't been finished yet): http://www.salushealth.com.au
-Other design aspects that you may wish to include to make the sign appealing (we were thinking photo's, but our photographer still hasn't gotten back to us)
**We do not want the external sign to look anything like the current one provided in in the pictures. It is cluttered and ugly. We will change the lights behind the poster so that the light will be better utilised for the poster.
Back board of our reception where the 'QV Medical Centre (can work with W1800xH880)
We are thinking of keeping this one nice and simple and are open to ideas. It may turn out that we just use the logo on an aluminum board.
Please feel free to ask me questions.
