ed.berman got their new signage by running a design contest:
Fun business sign for Dog/Cat Veterinary Hospital
Check out ed.berman's Signage contest…
Animal & Pet
We are a small boutique style hospital that provides general practice veterinary services to dogs and cats including wellness visits, general surgery, travel health certificates, etc. We provide specialized/personalized care for our clients. For 16 years we have operated out of a cape style home surrounded by gardens within miles of the beach. We are located along a fairly busy street but our current business sign (roadside) is very dark and hard to see. We want people to finally recognize the business with a fun sign that stands out rather than find us by word of mouth. At this time our name is South River Veterinary Service; however, for this sign we would like to be South River Veterinary Hospital. You will see 'Service' in some attached examples. The focus is for a clear, colorful and fun roadside sign.
What's your vision?
We would like to have a fun design that includes cats and dogs. No hearts. We are a cat/dog specific clinic. Our current sign displays our logo which is a pied piper theme (attached is our general logo =PNG document). Our new sign does not need to have our logo. We are interested in a new sign that does not incorporate our current logo. I have attached an example of a sign design provided to us with 'Hospital' in the name, we think this is an OK design/color scheme. The word VETERINARY needs to be the focus of the sign and somewhere near the center. This roadside sign will be approx. 4 feet tall and 6.5 feet long. The sign should be easy to read. It needs to include our physical address = 1537. We would like our phone number on the sign 781-837-5611. We like the following colors: Yellow (the clinic is a lemon/buttercup color), Blue tones, Orange, Red, White. But we are up for different color combinations depending on the design. The sign will likely be a rectangular/box shape, 'artificial' material (i.e. not wooden, no carved lettering), with lighting along the top casting down. The sign maker can make portions of the sign in 3-D style and this is of interest to us. We want it to catch your eye, and make you feel like you want to come check us out. We provide excellent care and want an outstanding sign to match!
thank you for your time and energy spent on this request. Just to confirm, we are not seeking a new logo, but just a fun and creative sign for the business.
