The process of creating this design was great and quite funny. The goal was to find a well-balanced composition of three elements, that represents a bohemian, vintage, farmhouse space with a touch of whimsy :)")

The logo represents what the farm owner do in the best possible way; to feed wagyu, to plant fruits, gather honey and create a hight end farm products. Highly detailed illustration is contrasted with a bold, modern typography and together with the tagline written in elegant script, gives to the whole artwork a sophisticated and luxurious look.")

The orginal maneki-neko holds a koban, a Japanese oval gold coin. In my design, the cat has a more realistic appearance and holds a modern version of koban: a beer caps with BBJ monogram. The color palette is reduced to red, black and white which are essential colours of Japan.")

Pinelawn is a large, non-sectarian memorial park (cemetery) established in 1902. The main element of the logo is the graphic of emblem/badge based on an old bronze plaque placed on the gate of the establishment. A new typography selected is definitely more sophisticated and, although being still classic, brings a kind of freshness to the design.")

The bunch of leaves and flowers is placed inside of watering can, to keep its relationship with gardening and plants maintenance.")

The chef and owner is very close with nature, and much of his menu is cooked over smoke/charcoal/wood fire, so the logo had to conveys an idea of \"the perfection of imperfection in nature\".

The drawing reflects the local natural landscape in or around the city in which the law firm is based, Boulder, Colorado. The logo had to convey the sense of localness and quality and, surely, hand-drawn designs convey a sense of sophistication, uniqueness that cannot be mass-produced.")
