This is a custom mark with hand-drawn glyphs, giving it that classic DIY feel that lends itself to grungy photocopy fanzines and other underground design.
Playing upon some trends in rock/metal, it has that eastern-european constructivist feel to it (without using blackletter), and is a self-contained design that will naturally lend itself to t-shirts, hats, stickers, and other branded merch bands depend on for monetization these post-advance days.")

I kept coming back to the idea of a cup in cuppa, and utilizing the first P as a mug handle, without marring the overall readability of the mark.
After 50 versions I landed on this hefty U that reads as a mug without losing 'cuppa'.

When I saw they were combining ghostwriting, ux design, and had 'sprite' in the name, I couldn't help but think of 8-bit platform games, like Pacman and his villainous ghosts, and the sprite images they used to get around processing limitations.
When I was thinking of ways to express 'writing' without pens, pen nibs, or pencils, a Gnome / linux terminal prompt jumped out at me, which is also related to the UX design / coding.")

I wanted to play with the polka dot trend to show how the 'O' is cooked up with individual ingredients, with varying teals and aquas with earth tones and oranges to represent 'grains, nuts, dried fruits, and powders'.
It's a bit bold and playful, but to me it says 'organic' and natural and tasty.")

I wanted to reference the astronomical symbol for mars, but in a way that played with the 1970s-era that it flourished in without seeming too Austin Powers 'groovy baby'.
So to play upon the foreign-ness of the brand name and as a nod to the mars symbol I could make an arrow 'diacritic' glyph above the last 'O', which along with the type face and color palette gives it a masculine retro vibe which I think is a cut above other men's healthcare competitors.")

My father and grandfather are both pilots, and I've spent many an hour watching them pour over maps, plan routes, go through take-off checklists, and try to put on cool radio voices as they contacted the tower.
I wanted to make a shirt that didn't look like it was an after-thought purchase from some gift shop on an airstrip in the middle of nowhere, but instead something that looks like a cool upstart boutique streetwear label designed a custom t-shirt with love and an understanding of the lifestyle behind flying and everything attached to it.
The red color isn't too vivid to be uncool, and is a nice understated hue that should work well with most neutral tee colors.
I also like that the heart with the plane silhouette looks like a box of chocolates, which gives it a double meaning, like flying is your valentine :)")
