"The quintessence of genesis as nature is transition, the unity of coming forth and passing away, and the latter essentially occurs in the same, in disclosure, because disclosure is conjointly and essentially concealment … that which is beaten into limits.” — Martin Heidegger. I can say about this design that it took me over 10 years to arrive to it. And it is perhaps my favorite design out of everything I’ve ever done. The negative space is essential, of course — the background. Epoch. A division of time. You could inverse the image and it would be the same. Black to white, white to black. Admittedly difficult for real world use: it needs space. But it’s so accurate. Some may see nothing. But know its intent, and take away the word. It’s there. I see silence and the first primary movements of time.
