With its rough and cold waters and abundance of great white sharks, Oregon coast is quite different from its southern Californian counterpart. Therefore the type of surfer it attracts is more rugged and with individualistically adventurous, extreme sport type mentality.
Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach is arguably one of the most iconic images of the coast, and its shape is reflected in the logo, all the while also reminiscing of a surfboard tip. At the base of it - either a wave or shark fin, not sure. Guess we'll have to find out from up close.
