When I saw this design brief I knew I had to take a shot at it.
My father and grandfather are both pilots, and I've spent many an hour watching them pour over maps, plan routes, go through take-off checklists, and try to put on cool radio voices as they contacted the tower.
I wanted to make a shirt that didn't look like it was an after-thought purchase from some gift shop on an airstrip in the middle of nowhere, but instead something that looks like a cool upstart boutique streetwear label designed a custom t-shirt with love and an understanding of the lifestyle behind flying and everything attached to it.
The red color isn't too vivid to be uncool, and is a nice understated hue that should work well with most neutral tee colors.
I also like that the heart with the plane silhouette looks like a box of chocolates, which gives it a double meaning, like flying is your valentine :)
