Book one follows the adventures of Alexa Kinner, whose world spins out of control when her dad (Jeff) returns twelve years after disappearing under mysterious circumstances. He’s unconscious, and a myriad of tests reveal medical conditions that can’t be explained. The biggest surprise comes when he regains consciousness; he has no memory of Alexa or where he’s been.

Devasted, Alexa is determined to discover where her dad’s been. She enlists the help of her new boyfriend (Jack) and best friend (Sharon) to help unravel the mystery of her father. She follows a series of clues that lead to dead ends, secrets, puzzles, and ultimately the answer—-Humans aren’t Earth’s only residents.
