Kymfree is a newly founded company that pursues the goal to create everyday plastic consumer products that contain a new, very effective and sustainable antimicrobial technology. This new technology generates the antimicrobial effect unlike other antimicrobial technologies not through chemicals or omitting silver ions but through micro-electrical fields. These micro fields are generated by cellulose particles included in the plastic that are coated with silver and another metal. When microorganisms get close to these micro-electrical fields their cell membrane will be damaged and the microorganisms die. The technology is self-sustaining meaning it only requires some moisture (air humidity suffice) to function. The operating principle of this technology resembles remotely a fuel cell in a car.
Kymfree’s goal is to develop antimicrobial consumer products that are simple and functional, yet their design ought to be appealing, refined and exalted. Their structure is solid and durable.
