She asked for a hip typographic logo and when I researched her work online, I found that she often uses collage and old printing techniques like letterpress. I decided to create a 'typographic collage' which references old/vintage fonts – engraved, classic, typewriter – for an off-beat and distinctive logo. I chose to use the number 6 to represent sixth so that the logo is less literal, and the small letter 'b' dangles from the ampersand to suggest a berry hanging from a tree.")

This simple design is both elegant and fun, and would appeal to both mothers and children.")

I drew an inflatable flamingo then gave it legs to make it more absurd and fun. The image is perfectly complemented by 'inflatable' style type which further suggests the client's inflatable products. I chose pastel colours to create a feminine tone, as the market will be mostly mothers, and paired them with brighter colours for a fresh modern feel.")

I gave the icons personality by turning them into simple characters, and used bright, engaging colours which would appeal to both kids and parents. The typography is customised and incorporates a party hat with a pair of eyes to match the eyes in the character icons – which ties together the graphics and type both visually and conceptually. The result is fun, fresh and very kid friendly.")

I used a cat to illustrate yoga, as it's cute, and also gender neutral, and paired it with a big brightly-coloured apple to suggest nutrition. As shown, the logo works well in different colour combinations and the cat can also be used on its own, and doing different yoga poses, making this a very versatile design.")

:format(webp)/99designs-contests-attachments/77/77547/attachment_77547603 "For this strong simple logo I deliberately made the lemon a bit wonky as I wanted the overall look and feel to be friendly and approachable, as opposed to perfectly constructed and too slick. The 'chalky' font complements the naive style of the lemon and suggests handwriting on a cafe menu board, while still being very easy to read. Instead of opting for a yellow lemon, I chose to make it black, so that the bright yellows and greens of the text really 'pop'. The logo works well printed in a range of single colours, chosen to highlight/complement the flavours of the juices and smoothies shown.")
