The client wanted something 'local' that made people think of a local lad running his own restaurant and suggested a colourful rooster. Nothing with pasta or cutlery was wanted, and it needed to feel both masculine and slightly rustic.

I used several photos of roosters as reference material for the colours - note that I did not trace nor closely reference any images beyond a vague pose match for one wonderfully arrogant looking rooster.
