Fortier is somehow related to castles. In line with that, I thought of it as a "rook" piece in chess. I visualize the "tower" as a "boot" facing front.

The "shield" frame represents quality and strength. Boots are protective gears. And they should be of high-quality standard with more than enough strength to withstand various outside forces.
