Logo for a restaurant in an urban environment, serving handmade food and high quality beverages in a casual dining space within an emerging Pittsburgh neighborhood.
Target audience includes residents, ages 30-55, typically without children, who choose to support the local community when they dine. Pittsburgh historically produced much of the steel that built America. For this reason I designed a strong industrial icon whose main elements are a factory (=Pittsburgh), a knife (=chef's food) and a bottle (=drinks). I did it with the negative space tecnique.
