My approach for this logo was to create a firefly using different tools from the various fields that operate within the academy.

Here are the different parts of the firefly and how they relate:

antenna: music symbols (Music)
upper wings: palette knives (Painting)
lower wings: french curves (Architecture)
body: pen (Poetry)
legs: sculpture tool (Sculpture).

The colours signify a glow in the tail of the firefly which also reinforces the message of 'ignite' in the slogan.
