Falero is a play on the hindi words "Fal-le-lo" or "Take fruit".
Falero is a pulpy fruit chew (like a vegan gummy), with 25% real fruit pulp. So you get strawberry seeds when eating a strawberry Falero, small pineapple bits when biting into a pineapple falero etc.
Each Falero weighs about 4 gm and is individually wrapped in laminate. They are sold in pouches of 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100.
Description of the product target audience
Meant for all age groups, this is a mass confectionery product (Cost of an individual Falero is Rs. 1 or about 2 cents)
We would like to get designs for the individual candy wrapper (encasing a single 4 gm candy), and a pack of 20 candies for strawberry Falero. The designs need to be "translatable" to other flavors at a later stage.
We would like to convey the message "this has real fruit, unlike other candy that does not". However, we would also like to keep the tone playful and fun, not seriously health conscious. Our current experience suggests that usage of "real fruit imagery" alone has not managed to convey the "real fruit" nature of the product.
We have developed a bunch of fruit characters for our media communications, and would love to see how they can be incorporated in the packaging design.
KLD for individual laminate wrapper and pouches provided above.
